We gather every Sunday morning to praise God with joy and to profess our witness to the life of Jesus Christ.
God of grace,
you have given us minds to know you,
hearts to love you,
and voices to sing your praise.
Fill us with your Spirit,
that we may celebrate your glory
and worship you in spirit and in truth;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
The life of the Church is one, and its worship, witness, and service are inseparable. All that the church is and does is rooted in its worship. The community of faith, gathered in response to God’s call, is formed in its worship. Worship is the principal influence that shapes our faith, and is the most visible way we express the faith known in Jesus Christ.
For many people the first time walking into a new church can be a daunting experience: full of promise but also full of uncertainty. Everyone who passes through First Presbyterian’s doors is welcome.
You do not need to a Presbyterian by upbringing or practice. Indeed, you do not need to have any religious background or church experience.
The Service
We gather on Sunday mornings at 10:45 a.m. (9:30 a.m. during the summer) to worship God in community. Have a look at our short guide What to Expect on a Sunday Morning for a sense of what you’ll find at First Presbyterian.
