Join the Easter Egg Hunt at First Pres! The celebration begins at 10am on Easter morning. Fun for the whole family! We will also serve community breakfast and coffee. All are welcome!

Presbytery on the Road – March 27th, 12:30pm

Come and join Presbytery staff on the road!

On March 27th, 12:30pm we will be gathering at the Manse at First Presbyterian Church of New Haven, CT, 724 Whitney Ave. in New Haven (parking at the church). It’s Holy Week, so come take a respite with some really good New Haven-style pizzas, fizzy drinks and a fun dessert. All are welcome!

STATIONS OF THE CROSS

Stations of the Cross: Indigenous Justice; March 24th – April 19th

Stations of the Cross: Indigenous Justice is an exploration of place, homeland, and history through the lens of the collective struggle for the rights of Indigenous people. Created by the liturgical artist Rev. Mary Button, the series will be on display beginning in Holy Week, and Rev. Button will host an artist talk in April.

Maundy Thursday @ the Manse, 5:30pm

Worship will include a light supper in the pastor’s manse at 724 Whitney Avenue, and a celebration of communion.

GOOD FRIDAY MARCH 29, 2024

Tenebrae Worship @ 7pm, Sanctuary or online

Come and hear the narrative of Jesus’ final hours. We will celebrate a service of Tenebrae, an ancient powerful service that is a reflection on the death of Christ that employs shadows, darkness, and noise. Join in person, or watch the livestream on YouTube.

SUNRISE SERVICE, MARCH 31, 2024

Sunrise Worship @ 6:15am, East Rock Rd. & the Mill River Bridge

Join ecumenical friends and neighbors in welcoming the glad news of Christ’s resurrection on the East Rock Rd. Bridge. As the sun rises on the new day, we rejoice together that He is risen! Worship led by Rev. Jeremiah Paul, Pastor of Hamden Plains United Methodist Church.

Easter Egg Hunt, Donuts, and Coffee @10am, Miller Gathering Hall

Join us for a celebratory Easter Egg hunt! All are welcome – especially children – and spread the word. Bring a friend! Community breakfast and coffee will be served in the Miller Gathering Hall.

EASTER MARCH 31, 2024

Worship @ 10:45am, Sanctuary or Online

Join us for our celebration of the Resurrection, in word and music. Flowers and art will be provided by the congregation. Special music is planned for the whole service—Easter hymns and anthems, a joyous psalm, and triumphant trumpet. Finally, the congregation, choir and organ will all join in the “Hallelujah” from Handel’s Messiah to send us on our way!
