The Reverend Alonzo Johnson, Mission Associate for the Presbyterian Peacemaking Program is visiting our church this weekend, and there will be three opportunities to hear him speak.
- On Saturday, October 10, at 7 p.m., will give a talk in the Miller Gathering Hall about using collaborative peacemaking techniques to address racism.
- Alonzo will also preach from our pulpit during worship on Sunday, October 11.
- After Friendship Hour his topic will be “An Educated Child” and how that relates to issues of poverty, diversity, and mass incarceration.
This is a wonderful opportunity to hear a leader from our denomination speak about actions we can take, as Christians, to address issues of racism. Please consider attending one or all events.
