Martin Looney to be our guest on Sunday April 26th. Senator Martin Looney returns to First Presbyterian Church of New Haven on April 26th at 7 p.m. to talk with us about the important issues before the Connecticut Legislature.
We expect to hear specifically about the bills under consideration that concern the large number of black and Hispanic people incarcerated in our juvenile detention centers, jails, and prisons or otherwise involved in the criminal justice system.
There are many other issues before this General Assembly, most especially the challenges of balancing our state budget without compromising our state’s well-being and future.
Senator Looney represents parts of New Haven, Hamden and North Haven and brings years of experience to the position of Senate President Pro Tempore. This will be a unique opportunity to have the ear of one of the most influential leaders in Connecticut politics.
