Dinner with Friends


Dinner with Friends is an opportunity to meet new friends and catch up with old ones in the comfort of someone’s home over a table spread with a feast.

About every two months, people are invited to be host for a group of friends from First Presbyterian Church. A basic menu is planned and then those who sign up to attend are assigned a home and given a part of the meal to prepare.

The dinners begin at 6 and end by 9 p.m. Each group offers the same table blessing, but the conversation around each table will vary depending on who is together.

This is a wonderful way for new members to make friends!

Dinner with Friends – November 12 6:00 pm

The second “Dinner with Friends” this fall with take place on Saturday, November 12, at 6:00 p.m.
A sign-up sheet will be on the Welcome Table.

The first “Dinner with Friends” this fall is scheduled for 6:00 on Saturday, September 24. A sign-up sheet will be on the Welcome Table.

The hosts usually prepare a main dish and guests take salad, dessert, vegetable, or appetizer.

Dinner with Friends – April 30

Enjoy the fun of sharing a casual dinner with a small group of First Presbyterian Friends. All the good things in life – friends, talk, laughter, and community in Christ – made even better by good food.

  • There is a place at the table for everyone who signs up. You are especially welcome if this will be your first Dinner with Friends.
  • Please RSVP at the Welcome Table or contact Art or Mary Hunt. Let us know if you would like to host a small Dinner with Friends group.
  • The dinner preparation is shared – the host chooses the menu and asks each guest to contribute.
  • There will be several hosts so each hosts a small group of six to eight guests.
  • Art and Mary match the guests to the hosts.
  • Dinners with Friends are held four times each year.
  • To complete the evening, we just need you.

Dinner With Friends – February 12

Sharing a casual dinner with a small group of First Presbyterian Friends is a great way to catch up with friends you have known for years or to get to know new friends.  If you have been attending for many years or just a few or if you have recently started to worship with us, please RSVP.   Join us and share in the conversation, laughter and community in Christ.

Our next Dinner with Friends is Saturday, February 12 @ 6 pm.  Everyone is welcome.  There is a place at the table for you.  Each dinner is typically 6 guests plus the hosts.  Art and Mary match the guests to the hosts.
