Confirmation Class

Confirmation Class

Date Posted: February 29th, 2012 — 7:41pm

The Confirmation Class will finish their course of study this month. During this winter, we have had the opportunity to listen to members of the Confirmation Class offer reflections on the scripture texts each Sunday morning.

Those of you who have been in worship know that each one of the youngsters have offered us new insights into the sacred text. On March 4th Kirsten Duncan will offer her reflection on Mark
8:31-38, one of the scripture texts for the morning.

On March 11th, Leah Miller and Daniel McCloskey will each offer a reflection. Leah has chosen Exodus 20:1-17, The Ten Commandments, and Daniel will offer his reflection on John 2:13-22, Jesus’ cleansing of the Temple.

The Confirmation Class will be received on Sunday, April 15th.

Please keep all the members of the class and their families in your prayers.

The Confirmation Class continues to offer reflections on scripture

Date Posted: February 5th, 2012 — 8:22pm

During the month of February, members of the Confirmation Class will continue to offer their reflections on the scripture texts for Sunday mornings.

This month we will hear from Charlotte Gordon, Cameron Owens, Alex Rupp-Coppi, and Nathanael Matos.

The Confirmation Class will also participate in the “Nightwatch Program” at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, in New York City on February 10 and 11. This program, housed in one of the great cathedrals in the country, offers young people a chance to worship and learn about our Christian tradition and our Christian witness in the world.

Please continue to pray for the young people in the Confirmation Class: Anny Yun, Sophie Latham, Rowyn Davis, Jake Blackwell, Charlottte Gordon, Cameron Owens, Alex Rupp-Coppi, Nathanael Matos, Kristen Duncan, Leah Miller and Daniel McCloskey.
