Calvin’s Brothers


Calvin’s Brothers is a men’s group that meets on the third Thursday of each month at First Presbyterian Church. Our goal is to share hearty meals, great conversations, and prayer.

Topics of conversation will range as far and wide as the interests of the individuals who participate.

Each time we meet, we hope to look at a single topic, often something one of the men has thought about or participated in and bring it to the rest of the group to consider how we might “theologize” about it.

Calvin’s Brothers – December 16

All are welcome at our December meeting, especially if it is your first Calvin’s brothers or you are new to the Church.

We’ll share a great home cooked meal and talk about how stories of all types shape our identities and our faith, how they make us laugh, perhaps cry, and inspire us toward new directions. The great American novel, short stories in the New Yorker, and fairy tales have been woven into the fabric of many of our lives. Our Christian faith is one built on powerful and epic stories. But our lives, too, are filled with family legends and favorite stories we tell again and again.
