FPC Adult Choir
The FPC adult choir, under the direction of Patrick McCreless, has a broad repertoire of classical church music that spans the centuries to more contemporary Christian music including spirituals, global music, and folk songs. The choir accompanies the congregation in hymn singing, and offers an Introit and an Offertory Anthem each week. A cantor chosen each week from the choir membership leads the congregation in singing the psalm of the day. The choir meets on Wednesday evenings from 7 until 8:15 p.m. and on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. New singers are always welcome.
Intro to Worship Music Class
Additionally, our Intro to Worship Music class is open to all ages from infant to adult. The group does not rehearse for performance purposes – only for congregational singing. This is a helpful introduction for adults, youth, and children who would like to learn more about how to sing from the sheet music of a hymnal and follow along with lyrics in a bulletin, or simply to familiarize themselves with the tunes to be sung in worship that day. The class meets in the choir room from 10:30 – 10:45 a.m. on most Sundays from September to June, under the leadership of John Dinkler.
