Pitch-In@First!
Much of the work of the church happens through committees. The standing committees of Session are listed below, with chairs or other Elders who are involved. The membership for all of these committees is open, and all committees welcome your participation. To learn more, talk with one of the Elders, or with either of the pastors.

Property
The Property Committee has a variety of opportunities to volunteer your time
and talents to help maintain and improve our Church buildings and
grounds. We highly value the spirit, energy, talent and commitment of
our volunteers. Please join us.
We have three teams of volunteers working to keep everything in ship
shape. Our volunteers augment and expand on the work of Jeff Owens,
our part-time Sexton.
The Scrub-a-Dub crew does the monthly cleaning chores of vacuuming, dusting,
rearranging, clean cycle on oven - the deep kind of cleaning that isn't done every week.
We need to hand the leadership baton for this crew to a new volunteer. Workdays are scheduled monthly.
Pat Wales is leading the Grounds and Gardening crew. The Grounds and
Gardening crew does the weeding, planting, trimming and other outside
chores. Workdays are scheduled 3-4 time per year.
David Miller is leading the fix-it crew. The fix-it crew takes care
of all things that break or clog or stop working - from toilets to
locks to lights. Workdays are scheduled as needed.
Our other 2010 committee members are Bob Frew, Tommie Highwart , Ralph Jones, Joel LaChance , Stephen Latham and Arthur Shippee and we would love to have you join us.

Stewardship
First Presbyterian has no real endowment. Instead, we are a people who support this ministry each year
through our gifts. The Stewardship Committee invites those gifts, and encourages our financial and
personal commitment to the work of Christ in this world, year round.
Chair, Jim Whitney
Worship and Music
The Worship and Music Committee work creatively with the clergy and music staff of the church to build
and support our strong worship tradition. From the planning of special worship services to the ongoing
care for the details of our weekly life together, this committee serves as a resource, an idea shop, and a
work crew for all things related to the worship and music life of the congregation.
