December: There will be no Christian Education on Sunday, December 28th. Classes will resume on Sunday, January 4th.

January: The Senior Youth Group will serve dinner for Abraham’s Tent on Friday, January 16th. Please email Youth Advisors Tyler Wadzinski ( and Erin Schutte ( if you plan to participate.


Abraham’s Tent

Abraham’s Tent, a sheltering program shared by congregations in the New Haven region, has begun!

This is the fifth year that First Presbyterian Church will be participating as we welcome 12 men into our church home.

Our host week begins on Monday, January 12th and will end on Monday, January 19th.

As one of the founding congregations, we have watched as homeless men find warmth and companionship during the coldest months of winter. The program has expanded and will run through April 15th this year. Strangers become friends and with full bellies and warm bodies, our guests grow stronger each week.… Continue

Adult Education for December 2014

Maria LaSala will continue her class on Re-Reading Advent on Sunday, December 7th at 9:30 a.m. We’ll take a look at the birth narratives from the Gospels of Matthew and Luke.

Coffee and tea will be available.

Please note this will be the final Sunday school class until January when Steve Davis leads us in a three part series on “Childhood Memories: Our Own and the Childhood Stories of Jesus.”
