It is our hope that you will join us on Sunday as we gather to worship God and find strength in our shared witness to the Gospel's good news.
Christian Education 9:30 a.m: Young and old alike are invited to learn the story of faith. Church School teachers are excited about their plans for Sunday morning's education hour. Adults will meet in the Miller Gathering Hall. Co-Pastor Maria LaSala will lead a conversation about Prayer and invite your participation in the practice of "Lectio Divina," (Latin for "divine reading). Lectio Divina has 4 separate steps: read, meditate, pray and contemplate.
Worship 10:45 a.m in the sanctuary: Yale Divinity School Intern Hannah Dreitcer, will be our preacher on this, the Second Sunday in Lent. The season of Lent invites reflection and prayer. What better way to journey with Jesus than to consider the prayer he taught to the disciples, best known to us as The Lord's Prayer. Each Sunday in Lent, the sermon will explore this prayer of the faithful. Come and hear Hannah proclaim God's good news. Together we will sing songs and give praise to God, from whom all blessings flow.

All Parent Christian Educatin meeting during Friendship Hour: Bryce Wiebe and Elizabeth Gill invite parents of children in the Church School to talk about new possibilities for Sunday School.
We had hoped that the roads and parking situation would be much better by today, but realize that things are still pretty tangled and frozen. While there are about eight clear parking spaces behind the church, there is no parking in the front, and none on Huntington Street. Recognizing that parking at the Red Cross would involve a slippery and dark walk to the church, and that even road walking at night is now too treacherous, we've realized that we need to cancel the Ash Wednesday worship service planned for this evening.
It's our hope that things will look better by Sunday morning, and that we will gather as a community to worship God on the first Sunday in Lent.
We wish you every blessing for a holy Lent.
Maria and Bill
